Edinburgh University Recalls Students Studying In Egypt After Two Detained

Edinburgh University has recalled all of its students studying abroad in Egypt after two were detained during their stay. 
Nine students have returned from the north African nation amid fears for their welfare.
A spokesperson for the university said the pair, who were studying in the capital city of Cairo, were detained by authorities.  
The pair have since been released but the university has now advised all of its students in the country to return home, citing concerns for their safety.

(THE JC) The University College Union (UCU) has apologised after it left out Jews from a description of the different groups murdered in the Holocaust, an omission the chief executive of the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust called “completely unacceptable”.

University of Maiduguri to ensure safety of students, personnel

The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), has reiterated commitments to ensure the protection and safety of lives and property of students and other cadres of personnel in the school.
Prof. Danjuma Gambo, the Director, Radio and Public Relations, gave the assurance in a statement issued on Thursday in Maiduguri.
